An Invitation To Join This New Team
In uncertain times, caring for one another includes being prepared. As a community of faith, we want to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels safe, supported, and protected.
The Board of Trustees is forming a Safety Team to help us thoughtfully coordinate all matters related to congregational safety. This includes areas such as:
- The safety and well-being of children and youth
- Support and preparedness regarding ICE-related concerns
- Cybersecurity and protection of personal information
- Emergency planning and response
- Other safety-related issues that may arise
Some safety procedures are already in place, for example within our Family Ministry program. The purpose of this new team is not to replace existing efforts, but to strengthen communication, align our practices, and ensure we are proactive and prepared as a congregation.
We are seeking volunteers who care deeply about the well-being of our church community. In particular, we are looking for one or two individuals who may be willing to lead or co-lead this initiative.
If you are interested in participating or would like to learn more, please contact Reverend Victoria or Nicholas Eddington.
Together, we can build a culture of care that reflects our shared values.
