Saturday, October 11, 12:30–4 p.m. in Nathan Johnson Hall
We will be gathering to share food, sorrows and joys. We also will share ideas for congregation-wide activism on behalf of a more loving world.
Ideas already are percolating. They include working with:
- Facing Homelessness and Greenlake Homeless Advocates to organize a circle of companions to befriend and advocate on behalf of unhoused individuals in our neighborhoods;
- NW Immigrant Rights Project to plan and carry out a legal aid clinic for asylum seekers;
- Common Power to register voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections;
- Eckstein Student Support Group to help economically disadvantaged teens in our neighborhood;
- Wa Na Wari to support their Bloom Food Justice program and perhaps build a community garden of our own at UUC.
By working together with local partners, we shall overcome!

And what is a justice revival without chili to heat you up for the work ahead? For those of you with crockpots we encourage you to bring a batch of your signature savory chili. Others can bring chips, salad, fruit or dessert. It would be great if there were some gluten free items. Come for food at 12:30 p.m. We will start the program at 1:00 p.m.
If you need childcare during the program (1–4 p.m.), please contact Walter Hatch and let him know the number and ages of your children. Children are welcome to join in the potluck (12:30–1 p.m.)
