Trouble With UUC Connect Authentication?

CONTACT US

WE ARE ALL FRUSTRATED WITH THIS PROCESS

UUC CONNECT's parent company, ACS Technologies, is rolling out 2-factor authentication for all of their software.  2FA, or two-factor authentication, uses accounts that are themselves password or passcode protected to verify the identity of the person accessing the account.  ACS Technologies is hoping that by linking your sign-in to your Apple or Google accounts, they can easily use either your email or cell phone authentication via Face Scan or Code to ensure that it is you that is logging into your account that contains your private contact information and giving information.  However, this rollout has not been without significant errors or confusion.  We're hoping this guide can help you to troubleshoot any issues that you run into.

NOTE: Keep your list of recovery codes that you were assigned during your initial authentication setup!  They are a very important alternative authentication method.

New Email Addresses to Save

When we first set you up for a UUC Connect account, we try to let you know to watch for emails from notifications@onrealm.org.  Emails sent from that address were automatically forwarded to you from the UUC Connect database.  It is the email address where messages, comments, giving receipts, and weekly group activity summaries are sent from.  You can't reply to that address because it isn't from a person, but from a database.

Similarly, UUC Connect has created new email addresses that are from the verification/authentication program (also called Curity) that confirms your identity.  The main email address that you will see from this electronic entity is noreply@mail.ministrylogin.com.  If you choose the email verification method, you will receive an email from this address whenever you need to verify your account.  This email will contain a button to click on that will send your identity confirmation to Comenity to process and approve.  This will then lead you to your UUC Connect homepage.

Please add these email addresses to your saved approved senders list.  If you don't know how to do this, please see the intstructions in the next tab above.

White Listing Email Addresses

"White Listing" is a term commonly used in tech circles to refer to email addresses that you approve your email procider to automatically reach your email inbox.  It is telling your email provider that every email from that address is "safe" and doesn't have to be additionally evaluated.
