A team of UUC and Teen Feed volunteers worked on June 13 and 20 to create a "community garden" in UUC’s back yard.
 
The crews built and planted "pizza garden" troughs, featuring tomatoes, peppers, basil, oregano, chives and green onions; and a ground plot with blueberries, broccoli, carrots and zucchini. Harvested produce will go to Teen Feed meal teams later this summer and into fall.

Produce from the pizza garden will also be used for a planned inter-generational celebratory pizza party September 27, when folks with Teen Feed and UUC will prepare and eat pizza together.
