Worship services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. in the chapel and via live stream
Rev. Jeremiah Kalendae and Rev. Deborah Raible will lead the service, which will include a Blessing of the Animals. You are invited to bring your friendly furry friends (cats or dogs)—who enjoy this kind of thing—to church for our celebration of St. Francis Day and a Blessing. If your non-human animal companion is not well-suited for this space, you are invited to bring a picture of them to place in the chapel. You may also bring a picture of any companions who have crossed the rainbow bridge who you wish to remember on this day honoring the whole interdependent circle of life. Each will receive a blessing. Water and treats will be provided.
On the first Sunday of every month, children and youth start in the chapel for a Time for All Ages. This month, Aria Curtis, our Director of Family Ministry, will feature the story of St. Francis and introduce our theme for the month, Courage.
Following the Time for All Ages, children and youth will be "sung out" to their various small groups. Infants, toddler, and elementary-age children can find their small groups upstairs in the Children's Suite. Youth in 6th-8th grade can find World Religions downstairs in the King room and High School teens can find Youth Group downstairs in the Servetus room.
Music by the Loft Choir, conducted by Karen P. Thomas; Amy Peer, soprano; and Dwight Beckmeyer, piano.
Sunday worship at UUC includes music, reflection, sermon, and connection, with informal Coffee & Conversations afterwards in Nathan Johnson Hall. UUC Worship Services are also live streamed.
