Sundays, March 8, 15 and 22, various times
UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team invites you to March events to embody Side With Love. Questions? Contact Betty Willams.
International Women’s Day
March 8, 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Join the community to recognize International Women’s Day at Cal Anderson Park for a rally and short march. Speakers include a League of Women Voters leader sharing about the challenges to voting rights. Look for the UUC group with our yellow “Side With Love” sign sat the east side of the wading pool. Bring your own signs and wear any Side With Love hats and apparel to show our UU connections! https://action.womensmarch.com/events/seattle-women-s-march
Vigil in front of UUC
March 15, 10:30–11 a.m. We will meet again between services in front of the church to share readings and songs in support of racial justice and show witness to our Side With Love message to our community during these difficult times. Join us with your Side With Love signs, or others that share our UU values (rather than political messages).
No Kings
March 28, from 12-4 p.m. Join us at the No Kings Seattle event as we demonstrate our commitment to our values with the larger community. The event is at Cal Anderson Park, on Capitol Hill near the light rail station. We will gather at the east side of the park’s wading pool. Look for and wear your own bright yellow Side With Love signs, hats and apparel. Come for any amount of time that works for you. https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/901551/.
If you are not able to make it to Capitol Hill, there are also No Kings events on the same day at many other locations.
