Shyloh McGill, a newcomer to UUC and an experienced sharing circle facilitator, and Rev. Victoria are seeking a co-facilitator to guide a six-week long grief support group on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., starting April 28 or 29, through June 2 or 3. Past experience in facilitating conversations on grief and loss is required. Credentialing is desired, but not necessary. Source material for the sessions will include a range of writings and practices, including Ambiguous Loss, by Pauline Boss and Wild Edge of Sorrow, by Francis Wellers.
If you are interested in co-facilitating, please email Rev. Victoria.
More about the upcoming Grief Support group
Loss comes in many forms. The death of a loved one, the loss of a pet, loss of a job, illness, and divorce are just a few examples of the interpersonal losses people experience. Other losses are ambiguous, like the loss of sense of safety after losing housing and social services, or experiencing aggressions that violate our boundaries.
If you have ever experienced grief resulting from loss—whether in the past or present—we welcome you to join us. Together we will bear witness to one another's journeys and offer compassion and love.
Participation will be limited to nine members. To apply, contact Rev. Victoria.
