Dear Friends,

UUC has been a strong supporter of Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness (LCP). Their compassionate, individualized approach working with our unhoused neighbors works. In 2025 alone, they served 242 individuals and helped 124 people move into permanent supportive housing. The Oaks, a 24/7 enhanced shelter, is a critical part of their programming. It will soon celebrate its 5th birthday! Unfortunately the building, which was built in 1953, is showing its age. LCP is hoping to raise $50,000 towards essential health and safety repairs by May 30, including: 

• patching a leaking roof in multiple areas,
• restoring reliable furnace heat to rooms, and
• replacing a failing water heater before it gives out completely.

Please consider whether you might make a donation of any size to assist with this, either through their GoFundMe page or by sending a check to Lake City Partners, 16357 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline, WA 98133. 100% of the donations received will go towards the renovations.
