UUC Family Campout

June 26-28 at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park; Register via UUC Connect

Hey UUC campers! Please join us for outdoor fun as we gather for the first UUC Family Campout from Friday, June 26, through Sunday, June 28, at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park. Please note that this event is open to anybody from the congregation (not just families) for an all-church, all-weekend bonding experience. Register here.

Here are some good reasons to go:

  1. If Sunday mornings are too frantic for you to chat with any parents because they are chasing after their kids.
  2. If you enjoy the insanity and pure joy of hanging out with children.
  3. If you really want to go camping this summer but forgot to book it and it's obviously too late now.
  4. If you want an excuse to stay off your phone for the weekend.
  5. If you like sleeping on the ground.
  6. If you want a more cost-efficient camping experience (and there are even scholarships available—don't let cost be an issue!).

But don't wait, because as of this writing there are only 63 human spots (plus 4 dog spots) left.

Individuals and families attending this event are responsible for bringing their own camping gear and meals. Those who play a musical instrument, like guitar or ukulele, are encouraged to bring it along for music and singing around the campfire.

Registration will close on June 26 or when we hit our cap of 80, whichever comes first! There is a registration fee of $20 per person and $10 per child, which will cover the cost of the site reservation. Any additional funds will be used for firewood, s’mores supplies, and any additional supplies needed for special activities. Add the code "CHILD" to each kid’s registration to apply the child rate.

We are allowing a total of 4 dogs (maximum of 1 per family) at this event on a first-come, first-served basis. Exceptions to this rule are service and support animals. Pets should be leashed, under verbal control by their owners, well socialized with other animals, and good with kids.

When you register, please take some time to read the Campout Covenant & Safety Rules document.
