Community Clean-Out Event

Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. in the UUC parking lot

Swing by for a productive morning to CLEAR THE CLUTTER! We’ll be shredding, recycling, and collecting donations—all in one stop.

Got paint older than your youngest child? Electronics from the flip-phone era? A drawer of cords, you’re sure "go to something?" Bring it and we'll recycle it!

  • Paint recycling drop-off (latex, oil, spray, stains, & primers)
  • On-site shred truck for secure document disposal
  • Small electronics, cords, chargers & printer cartridges
  • If folks are able to, we recommend returning your devices to factory settings before bringing them. But if that’s not possible, no problem. All donated devices are handled by our trusted partner, Free Geek, which securely wipes data from every device they receive. They’re an industry leader in electronic waste recycling and digital inclusion, so you can feel confident your information will be handled safely and responsibly.
  • Due to the size and format of this event, we’re unable to provide certificates of data destruction. We understand that it may be important for some people—if that’s the case, we recommend using a service that can provide formal documentation.
  • Clothing and household donations—clean items welcome
  • Food  and hygiene donations for North Helpline

Coffee and doughnuts included. No judgment. No tricks. Just less junk.

Offered by a local real estate person who is on a personal mission to help people clear junk out of their homes. Free.
