All Ages Family Solstice Services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. in the chapel and via live stream

Aria Curtis, Director of Family Ministry, and Revs. Doug Wadkins and Victoria Poling will lead these All Ages worship services. They will include playful and participatory celebrations of the winter solstice and a narrated story with spontaneous acting opportunities. People of all ages will be invited to participate in the storytelling, but children are especially invited to come in costume as a woodland creature. (We will have masks and costumes, available here too.)

Everyone is also invited to bring a source of light (a battery tea-light, a flashlight, a headlamp, etc., but no open flames), to help us tell our story and reflect together.

Music by the All Voices Choir; and Dwight Beckmeyer, accordion and piano.

There will also be a Youth Solstice Celebration this afternoon, 3:30–7 p.m.

Once a month during the program year, usually on the third Sunday of the month, our entire church community gathers for All Ages services: meaningful, vibrant, and engaging multi-age worship. These services often include stories, embodied spiritual practice and ritual, and easy-to-sing music.

As usual, the Soul Work Table and Fidget Cart will be available in the back of the chapel. We will also have our Prayground set up at the front of the chapel, with additional materials for children to engage with the service topic in hands-on and tangible ways.

Childcare for the youngest children will be available, as usual, in the Children's Suite during both services.

Sunday worship at UUC includes music, reflection, sermon, and connection, with informal Coffee & Conversations afterwards in Nathan Johnson Hall. UUC Worship Services are also live streamed.
