Tuesday, October 28, 12–12:45 p.m. in the chapel
Join leaders from the Sound Alliance's member institutions and partners, including MLK Labor, to make a public stand in support of Proposition 2. This ballot measure will enable Seattle to continue funding our critical social and human services including food access, gender-based violence programs, and emergency shelter in a time when federal support is dwindling. We will gather in the chapel for a video recorded roll call and a few very quick remarks. More information can be found at https://yesseattleshield.com/news/.
Any and all participants from UUC are very welcome and very helpful!
UUC is a founding member of Sound Alliance: an alliance of faith, labor, health education and community organizations dedicated to building a base of everyday civic leaders to effectively stand for change they want to see in their communities. UUC members participate in the Sound Alliance through doing listening campaigns in the congregation, learning the skills of relational organizing, and joining campaigns to make a difference in our local communities.
