No Kings Rallies and Marches

Saturday, October 18, various times and locations

From Rev. Doug Wadkins and UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team

We know that there are many ways you can be a voice for democracy in the coming days. We also know that many of you are looking for a setting to join in this Saturday’s protests that feels possible for you to access. Here are several options to consider:

UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team invites you to gather with them at the Seattle Center No Kings Rally and March, on Saturday, October 18, 12–4 p.m. We will meet up at the South end of the Armory building on Thomas Street near the entrance to the Mural Amphitheater at 11:30 a.m. Look for yellow “Side with Love” banner (see image below). Another gathering space for the Seattle Center event is in front of the Westlake Monorail Station entrance, above the Westlake Link Station at 11 a.m. to travel together to Seattle Center. We will join with those in the larger community to stand up for our UU values of centering love, justice and equity. For more information about the Seattle Center rally and march visit: https://seattleindivisible.com/events/nokingsOct18/.

A smaller satellite march in the Wedgwood area will gather noon at the parking lot at the corner of 35th & 85th NE.

Other area possibilities are listed here (e.g. Ballard, University Village, Shoreline,...)
