Thursday, January 8, 7:00–8:45 p.m. in the Knatvold room
Everyone is welcome to join the conversation as we discuss the good life. What is “the good life,” and how does it relate to our shared Unitarian-Universalist experience? How does it relate to meaning, to happiness, and to morality? Obviously “the good life” means different things to different people, it looks different in different places, and it has meant different things in other times. How has life gotten better through history and how has it gotten worse? How do various versions of the good life relate to our own experiences? What might the future hold?
No homework or source to read for this discussion. We all have our own personal experiences where life has been better or worse, and we have our different ways of making sense of our life experiences. Bring your stories and your curiosity.
Next Session: January 22, topic TBD.
The 4th Principle Dialogue Group promotes the “free & responsible search for truth & meaning,” pursuing the congregational goal of Connected Community. We get to know each other and connect to each other through meaningful, open-hearted dialogue. Drop-ins welcome. Homework not required. See more in UU Connect.
