2025 Bridging Youth

The Bridging Ceremony celebrates the passage from youthhood to young adulthood; these teens are aging out of Youth Group and taking their place in our religious community as young adults. To symbolize this moment, Bridging teens will each receive a blooming rose, thorns intact; these teens are coming into their own, resilient and ready to face the joys and challenges that life will bring.

Our Bridgers:

Phil Crowther  has attended UUC since he was 6 years old. Since then, he has been a fixture at Chalice Camp, first as a camper and later as a counselor, and has co-taught the Roots class for the past few years. Phil is passionate about film (Phil made the Family Ministry video used in this year's pledge campaign!), photography, and ultimate frisbee, and will be pursuing all three at DePaul University in Chicago starting in September.

Audrey Mack was dedicated as a toddler at the Bismarck Mandan Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bismarck, ND along with her younger brother Adam. When her family moved to Anchorage, AK, she participated in OWL, Peace Camp, the Coming of Age program and was a regular attendee at Fall Frolic, a UU family camp, at the Anchorage Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Here at UUC, she has helped with childcare and worked as a Chalice Camp Counselor. Audrey avidly pursued visual and performing arts during her high school years in Seattle. She will attend Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA in the fall.

Via Storms has loved teaching in the UUC Sprouts and Stepping Stones classrooms over the years. She is planning to major in wildlife and minor in oceanography at Cal Poly Humboldt next year, as well as play drums in the music program.
