At the next Wednesday Forum, Ken Yeats will lead an introductory primer on the petroleum industry. Topics will include upstream operations (discovery and production), downstream operations (refinement and sales), the array of petroleum products, and managing carbon. The goal is to provide participants with some context on an industry that is often in our newsfeeds and impacts us all personally and geopolitically.

The Forum will cover the following subjects through early February, followed by the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions 2027 topics:

November 4:  What Happened: Election Results

November 18:  Thanksgiving Potluck

December 2:  Environment, Earthcare

December 16:  Holiday Potluck

January 6:  U.S. Government and Entanglement with Corporations

January 20:  Sunni and Shia

February 3:  Nuclear Energy

We meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Knatvold room and via Zoom on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. All are welcome to join.
