Worship service at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel and via live stream
Rev. April Frazier will be in the pulpit: "How Union Work Can Give Us Hope." In a world where there is so much work to do for justice, we can feel overwhelmed with the immense need and lose hope that what we are doing makes any difference. By engaging with the issues right in front of us, I unexpectedly discovered my place in the fight for worker’s rights. We can find meaning in the midst of union work, taking action which staves off despair and fueling hope that sustains in difficult times. We each are stronger than we think, and we are exponentially stronger together.
Music by Amy Peer, soprano; and Dwight Beckmeyer, piano.
Rev. April Frazier is a Board Certified Chaplain and is an Affiliated Community Minister with Shoreline UUC. She has spent most of her career in home hospice, and a leader in the movement when her workplace first became a union in 2016.
