November 12 and/or 13, 11 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Daybreak Star Cultural Center
Join members of UUC's Acting for Racial Justice Team in supporting our relationship with United Indians of All Tribes, and come help with a little gardening.
From Green Seattle Partnership:
“These gatherings are a return—to land, to care, and to being in right relationship with one another. Guided by Indigenous leadership at the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, we come together to welcome, practice food sovereignty, cultural memory, and collective care in ways that are grounded, relational, and real.
"This season, we’ll be tending the Forest Garden, a living space that supports elders, youth, and Indigenous-centered community programs . . . Whether you stay for a couple of hours or the full day, there will be opportunities for hands-on care through: planting, weeding, harvesting, community connection and learning.
"You don’t need to know anything about gardening or restoration. Come as you are.”
All ages welcome. No experience necessary.
