Dialogue Group: Joy & How to Find It in these Times

Thursday, September 24, 7:00–8:45 p.m. in the Knatvold room

You’re welcome to drop in as the 4th Principle Dialogue Group discusses joy, especially how to find it when the world looks bleak. What do we do personally to find or spread joy? What do we do as a congregation? During our Water Communion during last Sunday's worship service, at least one congregant called for “more joy”. What does that mean for us?

Maybe you were part of a reflection group in 2023 that read The Book of Joy, by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Attendees are welcome to bring what they remember from that book and the discussions around it.

No homework for this topic. Come ready to share your experiences and hopes and to be part of the dialogue.

Next session: October 8, topic TBD

The 4th Principle Dialogue Group promotes the “free & responsible search for truth & meaning,” pursuing the congregational goal of Connected Community. We get to know each other and connect to each other through meaningful, open-hearted dialogue. Drop-ins welcome. Homework not required. See more in UU Connect.
