Air Quality

From UUC's Climate Action Team

As I write this (July 26, 2026), air quality is good in Seattle. And in 2025, there were only three days in Seattle in which smoke affected air quality. That said, consider having on hand a 20" box fan and a 20" furnace filter to build an air filter in the event of poor air quality.

Use a MERV 13 or FPR 10 filter—both capture at least 85% of tiny airborne particles—and find the instructions here: https://deohs.washington.edu/sites/default/files/AirFilterInfographic_FINAL.pdf (and below).
