Wednesday Forum: American Policy in the Middle East

Wednesday, June 4, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Knatvold and via Zoom

We will meet on June 4 for a session on American Policy in the Middle East, the last one in the Great Decisions 2025 series. Jeanette Merki will lead the discussion on this timely topic. The Great Decisions briefing book with background information is still available for order at this link. The author, a former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, reviews U.S. involvement in the region; has a skeptical view of President Trump’s likely approach; and makes a case for investing in diplomacy instead of militarization.

Mark your calendar for a potluck on June 18, and bring your favorite dish. Since we do not meet during July and August, this will be our last meeting until September 17. Bring your ideas about fall programs to our June 4 meeting, so that they can be developed over the summer.

All are welcome to join the Wednesday Forum, which meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Knatvold room. If you are not already on the Forum list and would like to be, to receive the Zoom link and regular notices, please contact the church office atoffice@uuchurch.org or (206) 525-8400.
