Pink Haven Coalition Meeting

Tuesday, August 19, 6:30–8:00 p.m. in Channing

We will get an update on local efforts to host our transgender kin who come here for vital gender affirming care. There are also many developments currently underway to address the crisis that transgender folks in red states are experiencing.

We can use all the people-power we can get to help meet needs for temporary housing, pet care, drivers, and other supporting services for the welcoming teams. There are also leadership roles needing to be filled in fundraising, networking, facilitation, and communications.

In case you cannot attend in person, there will also be an online option. Please contact either Sage M. or Allison J. via UUC Connect for the secure link.

The Pink Haven Coalition is a national coalition responding to the baseless and severe discrimination against trans and non-binary individuals in red states who need assistance in moving to blue states. Our UUC group is part of this effort, in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, to create a welcome network for trans/non-binary individuals and their families who are fleeing their homes in order to live freer lives and, if needed, to obtain gender affirming care.
