Saturday, September 27, 1–7 p.m. in the Central District
All are invited to attend this year’s “Walk The Block” Arts and Culture Festival on September 27 in the Central District of Seattle (24th and Cherry Street). Sponsored by Wa Na Wari, this festival includes a variety of music, dance, and storytelling performances, visual art exhibits, as well as craft booths and food vendors. It is the biggest fund-raiser of the year for Wa Na Wari, a non-profit organization which creates space for Black ownership, possibility, and belonging through art, historic preservation, and connection.
University Unitarian Church has been an ally and supporter of Wa Na Wari for the past several years, with special interest from the Art Committee and Acting for Racial Justice Team.
