Looking for Extra Sprouts Volunteers

UUC is fortunate to be able to provide welcoming and loving childcare every Sunday for the youngest members of our church community through the leadership Eve Hammond, our Lead Childcare Provider. As Eve prepares to take a short leave of absence, we are looking for some extra volunteers to help out in Sprouts, to ensure that we can continue to provide this important care while she is away.

Sprouts is a lot of fun! The children we see each week are joyful, creative, silly, and love coming to church. Signing up for these one-time volunteer opportunities is a great way to get to know these kids and the families at UUC. It’s perfect for folks who enjoy playing with kids and are passionate about welcoming children into our community, but who might not be able to volunteer in Family Ministry programs more regularly.

Helping out in Sprouts means playing with and providing care for children ages 6 months to Kindergarten alongside experienced care providers, Jasmin and Arwen, as well as some teen volunteers. Volunteers will arrive 15 minutes before the service begins and help clean up after the service ends. Background checks are done for all adult volunteers who will be working with children. Volunteers can also expect a short orientation from Aria when they arrive on Sundays. For more information, please contact Director of Family Ministry, Aria Curtis.
