UUC in the 2023 MLK Day March

UUC Acting for Racial Justice Team

Crowd of 30 or so UUCers, bundled up warmly, standing in the winter sunshine in front of three flag poles.

Aria Curtis, UUC’s Director of Family Ministry, and Rev. Justin Almeida and family were among several UUC members and friends who joined with hundreds of adults and children marching for peace and justice, passing King County’s Youth Detention Center to continue our work towards making Dr. King’s dream real for current and future generations.

Jerome Chroman and Corinne Kelly also joined the throngs at the 40th Anniversary rally in the gym, then connected with the rest of us at the platform above the three flagpoles at Garfield High.
