Our January book will be Brain Rules for Aging Well: 10 Principles for Staying Vital, Happy, and Sharp by John Medina.
[John Medina is] a developmental molecular biologist focused on the genes involved in human brain development and the genetics of psychiatric disorders. He has spent most of his professional life as a private research consultant, working primarily in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries on research related to mental health. Medina is an affiliate Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington School of Medicine.(https://johnmedina.com/about-john)
Medina is a well-regarded author with many books to his name. He himself narrates the audiobook versions of all his books.
Dr. Medina did a Google talk about what we all can do for our future selves to Age Well, and why it’s never too early to start. Using clever anecdotes and captivating speaking style, he shares insights on how friendship and the power of reminiscence can have visible and reproducible effects on aging.
