Register now for Exploring UU Class

Sundays, January 29 and February 12, 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the Knatvold Room, by registration.

Ready to learn more about UUC and Unitarian Universalism? Whether you’re new to UUC, a long-time leader, or somewhere in-between, this class is for you! We’ll explore UU and University Unitarian Church in this two-session, interactive course. And, you’ll meet others who are likewise curious about the church and UU, as well as long-time volunteer leaders and church staff who will share their journeys and insights.

This course will take place in person at UUC over two Sundays, in-person only. We’ll meet from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on January 29 and February 12 in the Knatvold Room. A light lunch will be provided. Plan to attend both Sundays.

Childcare is available if reserved by Wednesday, January 25. Children will be welcome to enjoy lunch and snacks with you or in the Children’s Suite.

We will cover four modules:

  • UU history, theology & worship
  • Connection and engagement (including an introduction to UUC Connect)
  • Being and becoming the Beloved Community
  • Stewardship and growth

The class fulfills the education requirement to become a member of UUC, and invites (but does not require) participants to join the church when they are ready. Janine Larsen, UUC Director of Ministries, will facilitate, along with invited guests.
