New Nominating Committee Formed

Finding the right and best elected leaders for UUC’s future is fundamentally important to the strength of our community. This nominating role matters greatly.

We happily announce the members of this year’s Nominating Committee, appointed at the January 19 Board meeting*:

  • John Crusius, Board member and committee chair
  • Rich Brooks
  • Susan Howlett
  • Sarah Walker

They bring rich collective and individual insights, experience, and understanding of UUC and leadership roles, coupled with deep care about the future of UUC. Their work will span from now through the election of leadership at UUC Annual Meeting in June. They will be reaching out to invite suggestions of potential candidates. But in the meantime, if you are interested in or curious about elected leadership at UUC, or would like to suggest someone else, please contact John Crusius, Nominating Committee Chair.

* Per our bylaws adopted in January 2022, the Board appoints a Nominating Committee “to recruit, screen, and prepare a slate of candidates for open/unexpired Trustee or Moderator positions. The Nominating Committee shall be chaired by a Trustee who will not be a candidate in the coming election and shall include at least three (3) to five (5) additional Members who are not currently holding or seeking elected office.”
