UUC established its Climate Action Team in the spring of 2014. In the spirit of the Seventh Principle of Unitarian Universalism, “respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.” The team’s mission is to seek reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. In the spirit of the second UUC principle, “justice, equity and compassion in human relations,” the team will advocate policies to begin to redress injustices already set in motion by past and present emissions.
