We are delighted to announce that registration for our 2023 Chalice Camps is open! Chalice Camp is our annual, summer day-camp for Unitarian Universalist kids. It is a week of meaningful exploring and community building, including music, art, games, worship, and fun field trips.
This summer we are upping our game and offering both our usual, full week of Chalice Camp and a short, Mini-Chalice Camp.
Mini-Chalice Camp: Wednesday, July 5 – Friday, July 7
In this shorter camp experience, children will explore the power of music as a spiritual practice and an expression of religious community. We’ll sing together, dance together, make instruments, and maybe even write a song! Mini-Chalice Camp may also include a field trip to Magnuson Park for swimming and to nearby parks for playing. Registration for Mini-Chalice Camp is $150 per child and closes on Sunday, June 11.
Chalice Camp: Monday, July 24 – Friday, July 28
In our usual, full week of camp, children will build upon the experiences of Superhero Academy. Using the Superhero Academy curriculum, as well as adapting from “Holy Troublemakers & Unconventional Saints,” we will use games, music, and art to explore how our Unitarian Universalist faith and community can sustain us in working together for justice. *This camp does not require previous experience with Superhero Academy for a fun and meaningful camp experience. Registration for the full week of Chalice Camp is $200 per child and closes on Sunday, July 2.
Chalice Camp is open to elementary-age children entering 1st–6th grade. Families registering three or more children are eligible for a 25% discount. We believe strongly that Chalice Camp should be available to all children who would like to participate.
