All in the Family: Cal Van Zee

After living three full and fulfilling years with advanced prostate cancer, Cal Van Zee died on January 14, his mother’s birthday. Cal was surrounded by his wife, Judith Wood, and their three children during a short stay at Ballard Hospital. Following a beautiful ceremony officiated by Rev. Beth Chronister at Recompose, Cal’s body is on its way to becoming a tree.

A Celebration of Life is planned at UUC for 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11. Cal requested that anyone wishing to honor his memory contribute to Team Child or the Economic Opportunity Institute.

    Holding the family in our hearts. Cal was a good man. Chuck and I are so very glad he was in our lives.
