Join the Forum’s first session in our Constitution series, which begins September 28 with a focus on the ideas and outlooks of the founders. The group has planned this series to become better informed about the context of judicial and other decisions taking place in federal and state governments, with ramifications on elections and throughout our society.

The Forum will meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month to discuss the following topics:*

  • Ideas and Outlooks of the Founders, Bruce Campbell
  • Articles of Confederation, Constitutional Convention, Ratification Battle (might be 2 sessions)
  • Bill of Rights, Amendments 1-5
  • Bill of Rights, Amendments 6-10
  • Early and Civil War Amendments, 11-17
  • Remaining Amendments, 18-27
  • Notable Supreme Court Cases
  • Constitutional Strengths and Weaknesses

* Please note that there will be no meeting on November 23 and possibly also December 28.
