United Churches Emergency Fund: There’s Still Time to Donate

It’s not too late to add to UUC’s Second Sunday Plate to benefit the United Churches Emergency Fund (UCEF). You may donate online through UUC Connect (select “Special Plate”) or send your check to the UUC office, writing “2nd Sunday Plate—April” on the memo line. Thank you for your compassionate support for neighbors in need.

The United Churches Emergency Fund, established in 1986 by a group of churches in the University District, provides eviction protection to keep families and individuals from becoming homeless, as well as assistance to homeless families or individuals moving into housing. Payments of up to $250 for rental assistance or move-in costs can be mailed directly to a landlord on behalf of a tenant, or to Seattle Public Light to assist with utility bills. Compassionate listening and referrals to other supportive programs are also available.
