Wednesday, October 26, 6:30–8 p.m. in Nathan Johnson Hall

As our climate crisis deepens, hopelessness is on the rise. This talk will outline the toll of environmental destruction on different groups and will explore strategies for processing difficult emotions and developing the agency and courage needed to stay engaged in the work ahead.

Dr. Jennifer Atkinson is an Associate Professor of environmental humanities at the University of Washington, Bothell. Although Dr. Atkinson will need to leave at 8 pm, we will have time to share reflections for a while afterwards.
