Registration for Chalice Camp 2022 Is Open!
University Unitarian Church has a long and joyful history of offering an engaging summer day camp for children, called Chalice Camp. It includes music, art, games, worship, and field trips—our trip to the pool is always a highlight! Chalice Camp is open to elementary-age children, entering 1st through 5th grades.
In 2022, we plan to bring back Chalice Camp as an in-person camp! This year our theme is focused on art and justice. Adapting from a number of resources, including the Learning for Justice curriculum “Art and Activism,” children will explore how artistic expression influences and aids justice movements, and the ways in which we express our Unitarian Universalist beliefs and tradition through art. This will include experimenting with visual arts, music and dance, design, and crafts.
Chalice Camp 2022 runs from Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22. Our programming begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. UUC often has a tradition of a special Chalice Camp service on the Sunday following Camp. Campers may expect to participate in this service on July 24.
Registration for Chalice Camp is $200 per child. We believe strongly that Chalice Camp should be available to all children who would like to participate. If the cost of Chalice Camp presents a barrier to participation for your family, please contact Aria Curtis about full or partial scholarships.
Please read the Chalice Camp Policies and Procedures.
Registration for Chalice Camp 2022 opens Tuesday, February 1 and closes on Thursday, June 30. Registration for Chalice Camp is via UUC Connect.
