Rangoli (Sand Painting) Workshop

Sand painting with a flaming chalice and symbols of different religions

Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m.–12 noon in Knatvold, by registration

You’re invited to a rangoli (sand painting) workshop taught by UUC member Sunanda Apte-Kakade. Rangoli is an ancient Hindu art form from India, in which designs of colored sand are created. You will learn about the history of rangoli, its spiritual aspects, and its physical benefits while you create your own colorful sand painting.

No prior art experience is needed. There will be a materials fee of $10. This workshop is limited to 8 adults. For questions not answered on the registration form, please contact Judy Oerkvitz.
