Lake City Partners: Thank You and Invitation to Volunteer

THANK YOU to all who donated tents, tarps, toiletries, and other items during the drive hosted by UUC’s Lake City Partners Project last weekend. The items were delivered to God’s L’il Acre Day Center on Monday, and were received with much gratitude. They will be distributed to people living homeless in the North End, particularly those who have suffered loss of their belongings due to recent encampment removals.

Volunteers ages 10 and up are invited to join in preparing sack lunches at UUC for people living homeless. We work together on the first Monday and third Saturday mornings of each month. The next dates are June 6 and June 18, at 10 a.m. Some volunteers purchase or bake items at home and drop them off; others stay to prepare sandwiches and pack lunch bags.
