Help Build a Tiny House

UUC’s Interfaith Justice and Economic Justice teams are working together to encourage UUC members to join with volunteers from other congregations to help build a tiny house, a small, but concrete way to address the housing crisis. Tiny houses have proven to be an important and valuable part an overall housing & homelessness strategy.

Volunteers are needed to build the tiny house at Our Lady of the Lake Parish at 8900 35th Ave NE on the church’s upper playground. They are also looking for volunteers to loan tools for the duration of the build and to bring refreshments for the builders. The build is scheduled to run July 13 through August 21. UUC is providing a financial contribution for the tiny house. For more information about the project and to volunteer, click here.
