Sunday, December 18 presentation
Friday, December 23 offering
Saturday, December 24 offering

Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness (LCP) will be the recipient of donations made during UUC’s Christmas Eve services this year. Donations will help fund outreach workers, who are knowledgeable about resources in North Seattle and North King County and able to assist unhoused people in connecting with needed services and working their way through the bureaucratic maze to get into housing. Donations may be placed in the offering plates during the Christmas Eve services. Also, checks may be mailed or online gifts made to UUC anytime in December, but be sure to put “Lake City Partners” in the memo line.

On Sunday, December 18, William Towey, Executive Director of Lake City Partners, will give a brief presentation about LCP and the important role of the outreach workers who work with individuals living on the street. Mr. Towey will be available at the Information Station during coffee hour after each service to talk to anyone interested in learning more about homelessness and/or LCP’s programs.

University Unitarian Church members have been providing support to this program for several years. Volunteers provide sack lunches twice per month to people served by LCP, and also engage in advocacy work. LCP’s mission is to provide shelter, respite care, work opportunities, and other services, so that people living unhoused have increased opportunities for stabilization, recovery, and permanent housing.
