Coyle: The Energy Above

Come meet artist Kathleen Coyle at an Artist Reception, Sunday, March 6, 1–3 pm in the Chapel. Her exhibit is titled “My Creative Journey…So Far.” Coyle describes her exhibit as follows:

The artworks in my current exhibit are mostly ink and watercolors. Several of these works are inspired by Australian Aboriginal artworks. I am attracted to the energy and patterns in aboriginal art. As a watercolor painter I have enjoyed plein air painting, painting outdoors on site. I also paint from photos. This exhibit will include a collection of my work and my watercolor “Habitat Paper Quilt.” Last time I exhibited a collection of my works at UUC they were mixed media pieces created with charcoal and acrylic paint.

The reception will begin with a brief presentation by the artist. Light refreshments will be served. Adults and children ages 5 and older are invited to attend, with proof of vaccination. Masks are required in the building. Most of the artwork is for sale; a portion of each sale benefits UUC. Purchases may be made during the reception or during coffee hour after Sunday services.
