Art Exhibit: Solace & Solitude
Sunday, January 23, 1–3 p.m. reception in the UUC Chapel
Adetola Abatan is an emerging arts leader in Seattle who uses colors, patterns, and texture to illustrate the various shades of solitude we have collectively experienced over the last two years. Joy, pain, discovery, gentility, purpose, and restlessness are some of the themes that Adetola has explored during the isolation of the pandemic. Her colorful collages and mixed-media works will be featured in the chapel through the end of February. (Pictured here is Embers and Night, painted papers on cradled wood panel.)
Come meet Ade at the Artist Reception, Sunday, January 23, 1–3 p.m. Artwork may be purchased during the reception or by contacting the UUC Art Committee. Fully vaccinated adults and children ages 5+ are invited to attend with proof of vaccination. Unfortunately, due to the current surge in COVID cases, we cannot offer refreshments—but your spirit will leave refreshed by Ade’s life-affirming work.
