Sunday Morning Coffee

Part of the delight in being together on Sunday mornings at UUC has been the opportunity to visit with one another over a cup of coffee or tea and a cookie or two following Sunday services.

Our intrepid Coffee Crew is getting back in the groove with our morning hospitality this August, adapting to new practices for safer gathering. For the time being, we will be offering Coffee and Conversations outside.

We encourage you to exit the chapel immediately after the service, and head out the doors without lingering inside. You’ll be able to pick up a cup of coffee, tea or ice water, and a small treat right outside the doors on both the lower and upper levels. You’re invited to enjoy visiting with friends on the Lower Plaza or in the Memorial Garden and Chapel Portico, or to take a cup and a goodie with you as you continue on your day.

Gluten-free or vegan cookies, or juice boxes for the kids, are available at the kitchen window in Nathan Johnson Hall – just ask!

Outside hospitality will be offered with compostable cups and napkins. Empty juice boxes are recyclable, so we’ll provide appropriate containers to dispose of these items when you’re done. You are also welcome to bring your own reusable cup.

Please remember that UUC recommends facemasks indoors for everyone at present. Beginning September 12 (Homecoming Sunday), we return to two services (9:30 & 11:15 am). The second service will also offer childcare for those under age 5 and programs for children and youth. Please see information on Homecoming Sunday for more information on how we will help UUC be a safe and welcoming congregation for all ages.
