Religious Education Art and Game Day Gatherings
Saturdays, June 12, July 10 and August 14 from 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Religious Education children and youth are invited to attend an outdoor, masked, socially distanced monthly event outside on the UUC campus. The focus of these gatherings is to have fun, reconnect with the UUC campus, and to help children and youth reconnect with peers in their same-age cohorts.
You can help us plan appropriately by registering ahead of time; tell us how many people from your family to expect and about any specific needs we should be aware of. Drop-in attendees are also welcome!
We will gather on the UUC plaza as a large group and then connect in smaller groups by age to play games, and create art for the classrooms at UUC. Expect art, chalk, jump ropes and hula hoops! Cohort groups may vary depending on who shows up, but will most likely divide into three groups: elementary, middle and high school youth, and parents. Parents of children in elementary school and younger should plan to remain present at the event.
On June 12, the parents break-out group will engage in a Sound Alliance listening session, to help inform the Sound Alliance of the issues and struggles most pressing to UUC parents. Sound Alliance is a local organizing and advocacy coalition of organizations, including UUC, across faith, labor, health, and education.
