We have two more virtual camps this summer and we’re so excited about both of them! These are online and home-based, with activities and projects for children to do together over Zoom and offline on their own.
Both Minecraft and Rainbow Path run from August 16-20, with 3 sessions per day, each about 45 minutes long. Camp will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. and close by 3:00 p.m. Each child will receive an At-Home Packet with the materials and supplies they’ll need for Camp.
Rainbow Path is for children up through 2nd grade and explores our Unitarian Universalists principles, including the proposed 8th principle, through art and creativity. This week of camp incorporates friendship and play, as children get to know one another and are introduced our Unitarian Universalist values. Children will create self-portraits, hear exciting stories, do chromotography experiments, and more!
Minecraft: Good Trouble! is for children in 3rd grade and older, and uses Minecraft as the medium to explore how social justice movements around the world have influenced positive change in society and communities. Minecraft: Good Trouble! guides children in understanding how they might live their Unitarian Universalist values out in the world and in exploring their own leadership. Children will work as a team to learn about social justice movements in history and justice leaders, and explore how to make meaningful choices to influence positive change.
