Pastoral Care and Beth’s Sabbatical

Rev. Beth Chronister

From Rev. Beth Chronister

Hello All,

On December 5, I shared in Sunday worship that I will be away from UUC on my first ministerial sabbatical during the months of February–May. It is hard to believe that over 5 years have passed since I arrived at UUC in August 2016 and what a wild ride it’s been! It is with great gratitude that I am preparing for these four months away for rest, reflection and renewal. My time away will be a mixture of travel, spiritual retreat, and time at home. More to come on my actual plans in January, but trust I will have many stories to share with you on my return in summer 2022!

Rev. Deborah Raible

The Rev. Deborah Raible will be rejoining UUC’s staff part-time to support our Pastoral Care Ministries as she has done in years past during ministerial transitions and past sabbaticals. Her work will include supporting UUC’s Care Team and Care Ministries, providing direct pastoral care as needed, offering prayers during Sunday morning worship, pastoral presence on staff, and meeting together with Rev. Jon as collegial support. Rev. Deborah Raible has been part of UUC her entire life and it is truly a gift to the congregation, Jon and myself to have her joining the staff once more.

More to come on how our Social Justice ministries will be supported over my sabbatical, but for now, wishing you all the happiest of holidays!

In covenant, Rev. Beth Chronister

Happy to learn that Rev. Beth gets a much-needed break from us and happy to learn that Rev. Deborah will be here for us! =-)
Things will be in good shape during those months.
