Meditation Throughout the Week
Meditation has really caught on at UUC, and with a new early morning session, we now offer opportunities to join others on Zoom to cultivate quiet every day of the week:
Mondays, 7:00–8:00 p.m., Evening Zen: Silent sitting the first half hour and a recorded Dharma Talk and discussion the second half. Includes short opening and closing chants. Led by Dinah Hartley. Drop-in friendly.
Tuesday through Sunday, 6:30–7:30 a.m., Early Morning Meditation: Two periods of silent sitting, 25 minutes each. Optional short chants for Zen practitioners at the end of each period. Very drop-in/drop-out friendly. Hosted by the UUC Zen group; open to all.
Tuesday & Friday, 10:00 a.m.–noon, Zen Meditation & Study: Hour of silent sitting, with optional one-on-one meetings with a Dharma Teacher. Meditation instruction available. The second hour begins with checking in with one another, then book study & discussion. Led by Janine Larsen.
Wednesday Night Meditation, 7:30–8:30 p.m. Center with some basic guidance and then sit silently in the first half. The second half is usually guided and is based on a theme. Led by Mark Lee.
