Immigrant Rights Gala
Saturday, September 18, 5 p.m. in-person at UUC or 5:30 p.m. virtual
UUC is a long-time collaborator and partner of the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP), a non-profit organization that defends and advances the rights of thousands of immigrants every year throughout Washington State. On September 18, NWIRP is hosting its 2021 Virtual Gala, the organization’s premier celebratory fundraiser. It will feature inspiring stories from clients and community, and live music from Seattle musician Tomo Nakayama.
The UUC Immigrant Justice team is hosting companion events to promote the gala, and we’d love to have you join us in supporting NWIRP and the immigrant rights work happening right here in our community. For those who are vaccinated and able to gather in-person and masked, we’ll have an appetizer potluck at 5 p.m. on the patio. Then at 5:30, we’ll gather our UUC community in Knatvold and on Zoom for a pre-gala event. At 6 p.m., we’ll join the NWIRP Virtual Gala and wrap up at 6:45. There is no charge to attend.
To join us, whether at UUC or virtually, please register here. If you have questions, more details can be found in the registration link, or reach out to Immigrant Justice team member Dan Stroh at email@example.com.
