This Sunday, Family Ministry is having a Winter Festival. During our usual religious education time we will offer an outdoor Winter Festival on UUC’s plaza, from 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. This program is for children and youth from kindergarten through grade 12. We’ll have craft making stations. You can expect opportunities to make:

  • Gingerbread houses
  • Beeswax candles
  • Snow globes
  • Holiday cards for LGBTQ+ incarcerated people through Black and Pink
  • Felt and paper garlands
  • Snowflakes and holiday cards

We will also have some games and activities available for both teens and young children. Participants should plan to dress warmly and for the weather, and sign in at arrival, via kiosks or a paper sign in sheet. Sprouts care will be available for children under 4½ in the Potter classroom upstairs, as usual.

We were originally planning to have cider and cocoa at this event. However, due to concerns about the omicron variant, UUC is suspending coffee hour and other food and beverage services beginning this Sunday (December 19).

Religious education programs will not meet on December 26 or January 2. Programs resume on January 9.
