Please sign up by Tuesday, November 30

The Family Holiday Service will be pre-recorded and broadcast at 7 p.m. on December 23 this year. This worship service combines our annual Family Candlelight Service and Family Holiday Service, and will include the nativity story, Santa Lucia, prayers for peace, and readings. There are a lot of ways families, children, teens and adults can participate. Please contact Director of Family Ministry Melody Moberg to sign up to read or participate in the Family Holiday service by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 30, at melody.moberg@uuchurch.org.  In your message, let us know if you can record in the chapel on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. or if you would rather participate remotely.

Options for people comfortable gathering on site:

We are planning to record parts of the worship service in the chapel at UUC on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., including: the nativity tableau with kids participating, prayers for peace, and Santa Lucia. We do not anticipate that people will need to be present for all 4 hours—we will assign you a specific time to show up. Participants who record in the chapel may share the space with children who are not yet eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine, or who are in the process of getting vaccinated.

Options for people not comfortable gathering on site:

Even if you’re not comfortable gathering on site, you’re welcome to contribute to this worship service. We can assign you readings or scenes from the nativity story to record as a family from home. All videos will need to be uploaded and ready to share with UUC by December 13.
