Adult Learning Course: Mindful Self-Compassion

Thursdays, 1–3 p.m., April 8 through June 3 via Zoom

Many people are harder on themselves than they would ever be to a friend who is going through a tough time. Would you like to learn to treat yourself with more kindness, care and understanding? The practice of Mindful Self-Compassion can help develop greater emotional well-being, lessen anxiety, depression, and stress, and better support the healthy habits you want. UUC member Joel Grow, PhD, and his colleague Lisa Baldini, PsyD, will offer an nine-week online course for UUC members and friends, on Thursdays, 1-3 p.m., April 8 through June 3. A mid-point retreat is included on Thursday, May 13, when the group will meet for three hours instead of the usual two. Fee for the course is $40 (contributed to UUC; the teachers are donating their time), with a sliding scale to remove cost as a barrier. Click here for more information or to register online.
